"THE GIANT CLAW" Oh the horror of it! The devastation! I What a shock it was to discover that, in 1957, the entire WORLD was almost destroyed by ... (keep scrolling to learn the horrible truth) Oh, yes, my friends. According to this documentary I was watching on TV, it was in 1957 that this horrible creature, from outer space (no less), attacked our planet in a circular pattern beginning in the frozen north. The flying monster travelled thousands of miles at supersonic speeds. Seen here in a photo taken by a camera from a weather balloon the evil beast is about to devour a poorly made plastic model of a WWII Mitchell B-25 bomber. I could tell from this documentary that the aircraft must have used some type of antigravity device because there were no blades on its propeller driven engines. As I watched in horror, the little plastic men in parachutes were pulled out by a string attached from the sidelines only to be devoured by the hungry beast. Fortunately, a major and two generals from the U.S. Air Force were alerted. They quickly pulled out all stops and called for an immediate attack. It was clear they meant to destroy the monster with these two P-80 attack planes. The planes were attacked by the monster and, as one began to break up, the P-80 mysteriously transformed into an F-86. Oh the wisdom and skill of the U.S. military! I didn't know they had the technology in the 1950s to change one plane into another so quickly. Fortunately, as the flying monstrosity attacked again, the USAF quickly substituted a plastic model of an F-102 before the giant claw nabbed another plane in its massive jaws. Even the fire power of the mighty F-86 could not stop it. Note how the Air Force camouflaged the fighter by applying all the markings backwards to prevent enemies from identifying the plane. Alas, the monster from outer space was doomed (no one explained how it survived the vacuum of outer space during its flight to earth). Even though it was shielded by some mysterious force field that prevented our weapons from penetrating its thick feathers, our heroes won out in the end. An electronics engineer and an attractive young female mathematician half his age (with whom he was in love) saved the day by quickly inventing an anti-matter ray gun to blast through the giant bird's shield so that simple bullets could then bring it down. From this informative documentary, I learned that you don't mess with the USAF. I'm glad I enlisted not long after this film was made. I wonder why they never told me about this? They somehow kept this a secret even though the entire world was terrorized. Hmmmm. More research is needed. |
